Hello

My name is Marie Hughes-Webster, and I am the founder of In Thee Beginning, where faith is the foundation of families. I chose the name In Thee Beginning because I believe there is great importance in the beginning of dating, engagement, and recognizing healthy relationship patterns early. For many years, we have taught our daughters that physical violence is abuse, yet we have often failed to teach them that emotional manipulation, unhealthy relational cycles, and emotional imbalance can also be forms of abuse. After experiencing a 30-year marital journey that included painful and unrecognized relational cycles, I became passionate about helping women and couples gain awareness before years of emotional pain occur. Today, as a doctoral candidate at Liberty University studying Marriage and Family Counseling, my mission is to educate, support, and encourage others through premarital counseling, healthy relationship education, biblical principles, and emotional awareness. I hope my journey of healing can help someone else discover peace, purpose, strength, and clarity while walking through their own journey toward healing and restoration.
